February Newsletter

Here is your monthly round up of all things Bootcamp. I would like to start by welcoming all our new subscribers and bootcamp joiners over the last month.
As some of you may have noticed I am now trying to write a weekly/fortnightly health and fitness related blog so the newsletter can be shorter. Blogs will usually appear on the website mid week but a notification will land in your Inbox on a Friday. There won't be a blog on newsletter weeks. For those on Facebook a shorter version of the blog will also appear as a post on the main BodyBlast Bootcamp page. We are all busy people so hopefully smaller articles will appeal rather than long newsletters.
I have submitted most of the content now for the new website. I don't think this will interfere with blog and newsletter posting but if you find that you are not receiving them then it could be because I can't physically post them whilst the update is being done.

Bootcamp Charity Event 2020

So far only 4 of us are signed up to do the Clarendon Way Charity Marathon Walk on Sunday 7th June. Remember there is the option to do half of the distance if 26 miles doesn't appeal. They are still offering 20% off the entry price.
I will set up a Just Giving page in the next few weeks so all our sponsorship money can be in one place. It would be great to have a big team of us to help motivate and support each other throughout the day. Non bootcamp members would also be very welcome. All the details and how to sign up can be found here:

Bootcamp and Boxercise

I am pleased to welcome some new joiners at our Fareham and Gosport bootcamps who have decided to stay with us following our January offer. Our Thursday Fareham sessions in particular are now quite busy so spaces are becoming very limited. We still have room for more participants at our Gosport and Portchester sessions.
As promised I have started purchasing some new kit with extra dumbbells, mats, some sand filled weights and this month I will be looking to purchase a heavier medicine ball.

We are now half way through our Boxercise course. Everyone has progressed really well and technique is really starting to bed in. I am still looking into the possibility of running some weekday evening sessions in Gosport if I can find a suitable venue.

February Bootcamp Offer

If you would like to join us at bootcamp, then in February I am offering for you and a friend to receive your first month at half price if you both sign up after your free taster session. Our current timetable can be found at the bottom of the page.
For bootcamp members, if you refer a friend and they stay for a minimum of 3 months you will receive 1 month of free bootcamps to the equivalent of one month of your friend's membership fee.
Terms and conditions apply for both of the above.

Bootcamp social events

Our next social event will be the Cams Mill pub quiz on Tuesday 31st March.

Event list 2020

Signing up to an event is a great way to keep motivated and is even more fun when done with others. If you want to join them then sign up using the links below or if you have one to add to the list drop me an email and let me know. I would be particularly interested in any obstacle course races where we can work as a team. You don't have to be the fittest or strongest to take part in an event, it's all about maybe just stepping out of your comfort zone and having a go. Don't forget your bootcampers and myself are always there to support you both before and during the event itself.

4th April - 100 Acres 5K and 10K - an off road run with a Winnie the Pooh themed medal. It's hilly and muddy but great fun. https://ruralrunningevents.com/event/hundred-acres-4

A few of you did express an interest in this when posted in our closed Facebook group. I haven't forgotten about it but am waiting to see how my injury plays out over the next few months before I commit to anything. https://www.naomihouse.org.uk/index.php/events/341-classic-clarendon

Junior events also available at some locations on a Sunday http://www.parkrun.org.uk/
