So May is upon us and that means a slight change to our timetable. Wednesday evening Metafit sessions will now be outdoors down at Stokes Bay at 6:30pm starting tomorrow (2nd May). Meeting point is at Gilkicker car park off Lifeboat Lane and then we head over to the grass for our 30 minute workout. We will be there rain or shine. If the weather is particularly bad then there may be an alternative workout offered instead.

Another change is that newsletters are now going to be sent out monthly instead of weekly. This will enable me to provide more engaging and hopefully interesting content with a new layout containing exercise ideas, healthy recipes, member spotlight and what's been happening over the past month at Bodyblast bootcamp. As some of you are not on Facebook and rely on the weekly newsletters for class timetable updates then any important changes will be sent out as a short email so that you don't miss out.

There are two bank holidays this month so there will be no classes on Monday 7th May and Monday 28th May. You are of course welcome to attend an alternative session that week either Metafit or Fareham bootcamp.

At some point before 25th May you will be asked to re-opt in to receiving emails so if you don't want to miss out on a monthly newsletter which will have all this great content or important updates then make sure you resubscribe otherwise we will have to remove you from the list due to the new data protection law that is coming into force. Remember you will still be able to unsubscribe at any time.

For various reasons there has only been one team event so far this year. Below is a proposed list for the rest of the year so have a look through and get signed up to whatever appeals. Remember these are there to help challenge you whilst getting the support from your fellow bootcampers so pick something that will take you out of that comfort zone.

The Aldingbourne Walk Saturday 12th May

Or if you want a run I highly recommend Bognor Prom 10K, Lovely course, great atmosphere and great PB potential. Sunday 20th May. I would do it myself for the third year running if I wasn't away.

Gosport Golden Mile and 5K Sunday 17th June.
I know this is a regular bootcamp event so lets get as many of you involved this year as possible. It's on Father's Day so why not make it a family event as kids can enter too!

Gung Ho Southampton Saturday 21st July
If you don't like the idea of muddy and wet obstacle course races then this one could be for you. A 5K race with inflatable obstacles. Finishers receive a t-shirt and headband. If we do the early wave 9:00-10:00 then if it's a hot day we will benefit and it will be less busy for parking etc. Groupon currently have this on offer for £24 instead of £30 but be quick as it may not be on there for long.

New Forest Aqua Park - Sat 11th or Sun 12th August

The Devil Run Elevated Hindhead. Choose 5K, 10K or 15K. Challenging trail run. Sunday 23rd September

Great South Run Sunday 21st October 10 mile run around Southsea.

Santa Fun Run - 1 mile, 5K and 10K usually has a nice bit of bling. December Date TBC
Hampshire XT - This event is where you compete to finish a number of exercises as quickly as possible ranging from rowing a set distance to completing a number of box steps. There are different entry levels of Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. Open to men and women December Date TBC.
